 Pixel GIFs 


A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away—i.e. Geocities circa 2003-04—I had discovered pixel GIFs on a page run by one of my little sister's friends. While many animated GIFs from this period and earlier were low-quality, pixels were cuter and more stylish. They could easily be ripped from video games, and even drawn and created from scratch!

As I got older, my love for pixels hasn't waned all that much. I still enjoyed hoarding them in my tumblr days as well, esp. if they resembled food or cute objects. For now, I'll mainly stick to anime and LGBTQ+ related pixels, but would like to add other pixels as well.

PLEASE NOTE: These are mostly uncredited. I've found that hunting down the creators of old GIFs can lead to a lot of dead-ends, especially the older the pixels are. That said, if anyone does reach out to me to remove a pixel or asks to be credited, I'm open to doing either! These are creations you worked on, and as a creative person myself, I totally understand that.
